Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer - RTO
In printing and converting applications, the most economical VOC abatement system will usually be a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer.
Ship & Shore RTO’s are designed for high heat recovery (~95%) and low pressure drop, resulting in lower horsepower requirements for the blower motor and lower operating cost.
VOC content in the captured process emissions and the heat recovered in the media chambers can result in an RTO that uses very low or no operating fuel after initial start-up.
Re-circulation along with a properly designed VOC collection system can provide lower air volume, i.e. reduced cfm directed to the abatement system, resulting in a smaller and less expensive system.
