Ship & Shore Environmental, Inc. Provides Innovative Pollution Control and Energy Efficiency Technologies for New Manufacturing Clients

Long Beach, CA, June 19, 2017- Ship & Shore Environmental Inc, a global environmental, pollution abatement and energy solutions firm, announced that it has been engaged by two Southern California Flexographic Packaging Manufacturers to assist them with expansion activities that include plant design, energy efficiency assessments and solutions, permitting, and fabrication of air pollution control systems that meet the strictest air quality compliance rules

“Southern California is an increasingly difficult place for manufacturers to do business considering the state’s stringent environmental regulations. We have become the provider of choice for expansion projects due to our deep experience and understanding of current legislation and energy efficiency solutions.

Reducing air pollution and saving money simultaneously has always been Ship & Shore’s primary strategy,” said Anoosheh Oskouian, CEO & Founder of Ship & Shore.

“In the case of the two flexographic packaging manufacturers, for example, after we reviewed the specifications of their new printing and laminating equipment, we assisted them with the environmental requirements for low NOx burners and ink room design. In addition, we also helped get the projects pre-approved for cash incentive rebates from local utility providers. Most other pollution abatement providers do not become involved in the project until the equipment is being sourced for procurement.”

Ship & Shore offers energy efficient technologies to manufacturing companies that need to collect and destroy air pollution emissions and reduce carbon emissions. In recent years, the U.S government incentivized manufacturers with programs to help companies assess, prepare for and implement more efficient technologies.

“Ship & Shore facilitated all the necessary paperwork to process our application for energy efficiency rebates available on the equipment. This saved our staff a significant amount of time and effort and resulted in receiving the rebate quickly”

How Ship & Shore helps Manufacturers

Air pollution control equipment is an important and significant investment for most manufacturers. Proper sizing and capacity of any VOC abatement system is critical, not only for compliance with EPA & AQMD regulations but also for productivity and planning of future upgrades and expansions.

Ship & Shore conducts a thorough inventory of all the processes that emit air contaminants and fugitive emissions within the manufacturing facility. This information is used to determine the VOC Abatement needs for compliance, maximum destruction, and energy efficiency to reduce costs

Ship & Shore uses the gathered data to make calculations and recommendations for treatment of all the emissions throughout the facility. They determine the best technology, sizing and capacity, and if additional equipment is needed to meet immediate and future needs for sustainability, compliance, and profitable operation.

Ship & Shore’s engineers also partner with clients in need of assistance with troubleshooting, repair, or retrofitting of equipment. Upgrades to controls, installation of VFDs to lower electrical consumption, and other features such as user-friendly PLCs & HMIs help ensure ease of operation, monitoring, increased reliability, and more up-time. The goal is always to develop a cost-effective solution and recommendation for 100% success on every project.

In most cases, recommendations include VOC Abatement systems that are comprised of a highly energy-efficient regenerative thermal oxidizer. Often, additional energy efficiency equipment such as heat exchangers are used to capture waste heat and re-direct it to other processes within the manufacturing facility.

“Our equipment incentivizes clients to improve their pollution control by earning them tax credits as well. There is no industry segment with pollution control requirements that we can’t handle,” Oskouian said, listing oil and gas, plastics, food, pharma, printing and other industries among the company’s growing client base, “For any company that creates air pollution, we have a cost-effective, green solution.”
